Devlog 1
This is the FIRST post in a series of devlogs (everything else has been a changelog) so there won't be very much text here (I don't know what there is to write about).
Well hello to everyone who inadvertently found this post on itch. In brief, I'll tell you what I've done since the release of 0.1.4.1 (which is no longer officially supported), what's coming in the future and what I'm working on now. If you don't know what this game is and what it's about visit the main game page on Itch. There you will find answers to your questions.
Main Changes
0.2.0.0 was written from scratch, so there were a lot of changes. But here's the main change in my opinion:
+ The addition of multiplayer:
- (Now you have the ability to play on a local network with friends!)
+ Adding the ability to modify the game.
- (At the moment I have not made a guide to create mods, but soon it will be ready. In the meantime, anyone who wants to create mods can learn GDScript, because there is no support for another language).
+ In-game console.
- (That's right, you can write various commands and they will be executed during the game. (All possible commands can be found by writing "help()" in the console.))
Minor changes
+ Layers.
- (Worlds, dimensions, can be called whatever you want, but the official name is layers. A layer is where all the objects are stored. Without layers, your world will just be empty. The main layer, where the player appears, is called "FiniteWorld").
* The entire interface.
* The equipment system
* World creation system.
- (Now it is possible to install your own world creation script, create your own biome, create your own layer).
* World creation interface.
- (Now you can resize any biome in any layer).
These are all the changes at the moment, but still this version is in active development and a lot of things can be changed and added. And if you want to keep up with development news, subscribe to my channel in itch. I also have a channel in Discord.
